Vision Statement

Celebrating our belief that Jesus Christ is the hope of the world, we commit ourselves to be a family of Christians that constantly and faithfully proclaims through preaching, teaching, and personal witness the Good News of God's work of grace in Jesus Christ. We rejoice in our faith that God sent His only begotten Son to deliver us from sin and death, to create us again in His perfect image, and to empower our lives with His Spirit. We commit to living our lives according to the example of Christ, in the belief that all things become possible through our relationship with Him. We commit ourselves to the study of His Word and diligent prayer with the expectation that we may come to know Him better and gain a more perfect understanding of his will. Believing that Jesus calls us to be servants in His name, we commit ourselves to grow in loving service to our families, our community, and the larger church of Jesus.

We envision a community in which Christ's prayer for unity among all believers is joyfully fulfilled.

While we choose to identify ourselves with the historical Churches of Christ, we consider ourselves to be a new and different kind of church of Christ.

Emboldened by the power of grace, we celebrate our freedom in Christ to worship, work, and grow in the Spirit of our risen Lord.

We hold firmly to the fundamentals of the Faith. We believe that salvation is by grace through faith for all who believe in Jesus. We believe in the inspiration of the Word, the sacrifice, resurrection and ascension of the Son, as well as His second advent, the ultimate judgment of all souls, the personal indwelling of the Spirit, and the transforming love of the heavenly Father. Beyond these fundamentals, we allow freedom in matters of opinion and flexibility in matters of religious practice.

In the spirit of the unity envisioned by Jesus, we commit ourselves to an open fellowship and a genuine respect for the faith of other Christian traditions. We eagerly desire to join with believers from other traditions in shared celebration of our common faith in Christ. While we value practices of worship and work unique to our Church of Christ heritage, our spiritual loyalty is to Jesus Christ alone and His revealed Word.

The Pond Springs Church of Christ offers "A Home for Every Heart". We welcome those affiliated with the Churches of Christ longing for a more open fellowship, Christians not currently identified with a local congregation, but who long for an empowering relationship with a loving Christian family, and all believers who desire an inspiring place to grow and prosper in Christ. We welcome those who are new to faith as well as those who are seeking an initial knowledge of God. We pledge ourselves, as a family of Christian brothers and sisters, to support, equip, and empower one another to greater spiritual growth and individual service in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

In all, we seek the way, the truth, and the life of our Lord Jesus and the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we endeavor to seek to know and to do the will of God in our community.
